Neighbourhood

The former Postbahnhof (postal train station) is directly located at the U-Bahn station Gleisdreieck in Kreuzberg situated between the Gleisdreieck park and Science Museum and only under a 5 minute walk from the Potsdamer Platz. Built in 1907 and used by the post office for over 90 years, the site has become one of the most popular venues for events in Germany in recent decades. In 2016 the venue received the award as “Best Conference and Convention Location” in Germany.

Project

The large 26,500m² site comprises eight halls, lofts, showrooms and outdoor areas. The grand halls, steel structures, raw brick walls and many other historical architectural elements make the former use as a postal station still evident today. Due to the diverse layout of each unique space, the location provides many options for various event formats. Especially the original Postbahnhof halls impress with their individual and spacious industrial character.

In 2019, CRE acquired the property, including the event business, in order to develop a coherent and sustainable scheme for this unique location. Station
