Ehrenfeld’s architecture is still strongly influenced by its time as an industrial and working-class district. This industrial era is also reflected sociologically with many guest workers having stayed and shaped the quarter as well as attracted the creative scene that has discovered Ehrenfeld for itself. Today, Ehrenfeld offers an extensive cultural and gastronomic range and the demand for living space is constantly increasing.


The aim of the scheme was the conversion of the existing office location into a residential quarter. For this purpose, CRE developed various concept studies and urban planning models after purchasing the property, which were coordinated and improved with the city planning office. CRE sold the project to a local institutional investor after obtaining a preplanning permit.
